My barnyard princess

Now that the party is past us I can finally post Landry's 2 year old pictures in her birthday outfit.  My good friend Katie gave Landry a photo session as her birthday gift.  I am not sure if it was what Landry wanted, but it sure did make her Momma happy.  Katie, thank you again!

After deciding on a theme for the party I bet you can guess what I did next...that's right...began picking out an outfit & bows.  Thank you God for giving me a little girl to dress up!  I knew I wanted her in overalls but was having trouble finding the perfect pair.  I hated to ask my friend Julie to take on this project because she was right in the middle of her big move to Kansas, but since she is such an amazing friend she agreed to help me out.  I gave her this direction... cow, pink and ruffles...possibly the number 2!  I was so excited when I received the finished product in the mail...they were awesome and looked great on my cute birthday girl!  Now that Julie is all settled in up in Kansas she is willing to take on almost any project.  I already have her working on some spring clothes for Miss L.  Please check out Julie's Etsy site Jill Be Nimble, email her for custom items and tell her Kylie sent ya!

Landry's Barnyard Bash

I think we've finally recovered from our birthday festivities this weekend.  This has been a much anticipated 2nd birthday party that was postponed two weeks due to the 6" of snow and ice we received over Superbowl weekend.  I cannot tell you how happy I was that the "weather man above" cooperated and gave us a beautiful 70 degree day on Saturday.  I was a little worried after we went to Kara's party in January because Landry didn't respond well to the animals, but this time she was great.  Here is what she said about her party Saturday night when I was rocking her to sleep, "Mommy, animals nice...not mean, nice!" "I like bunny & cow (NO, we did not have a cow)" "I so happy!"  Personally...I am happy the party is behind us,  but I loved how it turned out.  Tonight Miss L asked when the animals are coming back...it makes it all worth it when you see how much she loved her birthday party!

This post would not be complete if I did not mention my amazing "party team".  My Mom, Aunt Sarah, Jessie and Cousin Lindsey came in town Friday night,  I had literally gone to the store and that was it.  Everyone jumped right in to help me with the food and decorations.  You guys were the biggest life savers...I have always said I have the BEST family in the world!  Thank you to all our friends and family that celebrated with us, I still can't believe my baby is TWO!  Enjoy the pictures.

sweet cousins

As I am playing catch up I am finding old photos that were never posted.  I have had these photos since February and just realized I never published them...Aunt Sharon this post is for you.  I am backing dating them so someday when I get around to working on a blog book everything is in order. As you can see neither girl wanted their picture taken.  I am sure as Stella grows up she will hate me for putting her in this barrel...mean Aunt Kylie.
