TWO against ONE

Can you believe this little cutie is almost ONE!  I just ordered her birthday invitations today and it kinda makes me sad.  She has been the best baby and for selfish reasons I want her to stay a baby. Everyday she changes more and more. She is going to be a talker just like her Sissy.  Quick story..Yesterday on the way home from daycare was the first time I've felt the girls teamed up on me.  Hayden started making loud noises with her mouth, you know the motorboat type noises.  Well, then Landry decided to join her, now it is super loud and I can tell Landry is also spitting when she does it.  So I ask them to stop, they laugh, then continue, then they both scream in the loudest, highest pitch scream you have ever heard.  It continues, I am getting more and more angry all while driving. Another scream...I'm talking ear piercing screams, first Landry does it then Hayden, then Landry again...I'm pissed.  I stop at a light and angrily tell Landry that if I hear one more noise I am giving her a spankin.  She looks me dead in the face and says, "Your arm can't reach back here!"  My response..."Wanna bet!"  Needless to say it ended without CPS needing to be called.  Boy, was I out numbered.  I am sure if Jojo had any memory at all she could recall countless stories where Jessie and I teamed up on her, good thing she can't remember anything!  Paybacks a b....! But I LOVE my girls and wouldn't trade them for anything!!!

Enjoy the pictures from our weekend with JoJo, thanks again for helping out Mom!

Here is Hayden getting ready to take the plunge...
 She did it...
Attempting it again with a little help from sissy

And the big news in our house is we have a soccer player...our first practice is tomorrow night so I will report back with details on how that went.  I am still looking for socks that will fit her.  Might be using baby legs if I can't find any.

2024 Olympics is calling her name

With all this Olympic fever in our house we had to go for a practice swim.  Trey and I told Landry that by 2024 she could be swimming on TV just like those girls.  We did the math and that would put her on the same pace as Michael Phelps, age 15, 19, 23 & retire by 27, not a bad career! All joking aside as much as I would love for my child to be an olympian I don't think I have it in me to raise one.  That is a ton of work and a childhood that is gone, I'm not sure that's the life I want for my kids but I guess that is not the parent's decision.  If your child loves doing something so much you will see that they get the opportunity to pursue their dream. She is a little fish!

Enjoy the pictures from our evening swim!

Summer fun days

I am so behind on blogging, I swear I take pictures but finding the time to download everything and put them on the blog seems to always escape me. Could someone please tell me where the month of July went???  Last I knew I was in Arkansas for the 4th of July and now it's Aug. (I am back dating this post for future reference).  Both of my girls absolutely love the water, which is good because so do I.  My first job was  lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons so if there is one area I can save a little money it's swim lessons.  So far, Landry has allowed me to work with her just fine, who knows if that will continue.  I sure hope it does because the price people are paying these days for lessons isn't cheap.  We have also been working on her cheerleading stunts in the pool, I have taught her to yell GO HOGS and give the fist pump once she gets to the top.  Trey told me that is embarrassing and he doesn't want to stunt with her at the public pool anymore.  It's so funny!  Enjoy the pictures of my growing girls.
