TWO against ONE

Can you believe this little cutie is almost ONE!  I just ordered her birthday invitations today and it kinda makes me sad.  She has been the best baby and for selfish reasons I want her to stay a baby. Everyday she changes more and more. She is going to be a talker just like her Sissy.  Quick story..Yesterday on the way home from daycare was the first time I've felt the girls teamed up on me.  Hayden started making loud noises with her mouth, you know the motorboat type noises.  Well, then Landry decided to join her, now it is super loud and I can tell Landry is also spitting when she does it.  So I ask them to stop, they laugh, then continue, then they both scream in the loudest, highest pitch scream you have ever heard.  It continues, I am getting more and more angry all while driving. Another scream...I'm talking ear piercing screams, first Landry does it then Hayden, then Landry again...I'm pissed.  I stop at a light and angrily tell Landry that if I hear one more noise I am giving her a spankin.  She looks me dead in the face and says, "Your arm can't reach back here!"  My response..."Wanna bet!"  Needless to say it ended without CPS needing to be called.  Boy, was I out numbered.  I am sure if Jojo had any memory at all she could recall countless stories where Jessie and I teamed up on her, good thing she can't remember anything!  Paybacks a b....! But I LOVE my girls and wouldn't trade them for anything!!!

Enjoy the pictures from our weekend with JoJo, thanks again for helping out Mom!

Here is Hayden getting ready to take the plunge...
 She did it...
Attempting it again with a little help from sissy

And the big news in our house is we have a soccer player...our first practice is tomorrow night so I will report back with details on how that went.  I am still looking for socks that will fit her.  Might be using baby legs if I can't find any.

fun at the park

Yesterday I took the girls to the park after work for a little outdoor fun. This was Hayden's first time in the swing with assistance from her big sis!

Crawling 101

Miss Hayden is getting a little better with tummy time these days.  She is beginning to roll over pretty good when she wants to but most of the time she just likes to stay put and watch everyone... especially her crazy big sister.  This weekend Landry decided to give her a little crawling lesson. It's going to take some practice but Landry will be a great teacher {or boss}however you want to look at it.

LYLAS

Sisters...doesn't get better than this!  These girls adore each other.  If Hayden is upset Landry can calm her down right away, she loves her big sister so much.  And Landry loves baby talking to Hayden and playing the roll of little momma!  My hope for their future is that they are as close as me and my sister are.  Yes, they will have their share of fights but hopefully will always make up! Love ya sis!

Happy 60th JoJo!

Happy Birthday to our Awesome JoJo!  Trey and I cannot possibly tell you enough how lucky we are to have you in our lives.  Our girls adore you and we could not ask for a better Grandma and roll model for them.  I am pretty sure JoJo is Landry's favorite person and if Hayden could talk I am sure she would agree.  Thank you for everything you do for us on a daily basis.  You're the best Mom!

P.S... I hope I look as good as you at 60!

I figured I would post some new pictures of the girls in honor of your birthday!  Enjoy!

Since I rushed to get all my shopping done last week (in anticipation of Avery's early arrival) we had some free time yesterday to do a little holiday crafting.  I came across this idea on Pintrest and since Landry loves painting I thought we would give it a shot.  Meet Mr. Hand Santa!

Welcome Home Baby Sister

Welcome Home Hayden!  I have been meaning to post these pictures for a week now...I am finally getting some blogging time in between feedings.  We are so excited to have both our precious girls at home now, everyone is adjusting surprisingly well.  Landry told me today she is glad baby sister finally "Popped" out of my tummy.  She loves her so much.  I don't want to wish this infant stage away (since there is a GOOD chance this will be my last baby) but I can't wait to see the girls interact with each other.  Enjoy the pictures.
This is Hayden's wreath we took to the hospital, it received LOTS of comments from the nursing staff.

Preparing to be a BIG SISTER

As part of our preparation for baby #2 to arrive I enrolled Landry into a sibling class at the hospital.  We called it "Big Sister" class! Trey was out of town on his annual golf trip so it was a girls weekend and what a better way to spend it than practicing our Big Sister skills.  Landry did great in the class, everyone that knows her know she LOVES babies.  Almost too much!  She is such a little Momma she has begun to get us worried about what she is going to attempt with our new arrival.

The class started with craft time, she made a sign that will hang on the babies bassinet in the hospital.  This was the first time we have allowed her to use markers so you can imagine her excitement.  We watched a short video about the new baby and how she might feel once the new baby is home.  Then we practiced holding and swaddling the baby and finally the class ended with a tour of the hospital and a peek into the nursery.  I was worried that if her first trip to a hospital was seeing me in a hospital bed she might be a little scared.  Now she at least knows what the rooms look like etc.

The preparations have begun...let's just hope we didn't start to late this time and we can get everything done before she arrives.
